Reception, P1 and P2

15th Oct 2020

Dear Parents,

Tomorrow children can have a non uniform day. If you wish to dress up that is fine but it is not compulsory. For homework children can prepare a party trick for tomorrow.

Regarding the Government's announcement yesterday relating to school closing, it states that it is to be an extended mid term break without any remote teaching or learning packs. The government will review the situation and if school closure is extended, remote learning will resume on Monday 2nd November.  Work packs will be made available at that point. They are currently ready and waiting in quarantine should we need to adopt this style of learning in November.  I will communicate this through the Seesaw App, the school website and email.

I would also like to let you know that your children have made a fantastic start to school life in Reception, P1 and P2- it has been most impressive their ability to adapt to the new school day. Their level of readiness for school and readiness to learn has been excellent and truthfully one of the best I have witnessed in my teaching career to date.

I am left thinking that lock-down has been a most treasured and special time for your child at home with you, their parents and families.  It leaves me with nothing else to say but take a break, let your child develop through playing with their toys, being creative, taking nature walks close to home etc. so that we are all ready for what lies ahead in November and that is continuing with your child's education.

Please stay safe,

Mrs J. Mc Creesh.
