21st Dec 2020

Dear Children and Parents,

We have come to the final days before we break up for our long awaited Christmas holidays. Remote learning will continue for today and tomorrow. I hope to cover some areas of the curriculum we didn’t focus on as much in Term 1. A work pack and printing will not be required to do this.   Unfortunately children, you didn’t get to preform a Christmas Show this year for your families and we didn’t get to take you to a Pantomime either. I watched your singing on the website last week and I loved it. Hopefully we can create a pic college or something similar as we engage remotely over the next 2 days to continue showcasing your wonderful talents and spread some Christmas cheer for you all.   The schedule for today and tomorrow has one learning objective and that is to have fun while you learn something new. Hopefully it will make up a little bit for what you have missed out on and get us all into the spirit of Christmas because there are only 4 more sleeps until Santa comes!

Your 1st lesson today is PE! (I couldn’t find Joe Wicks today! 🙈🤷‍♀️   1.Wear comfortable clothes, 2.choose appropriate footwear, 3.bring a drink of cool water 4.repeat lesson as necessary until you have achieved your personal best! 5.don’t forget to warm up at the beginning and cool down at the end.   Parents, please assist your child with learning the dance moves in the video. 😁   Press play when you are ready. Try to encourage the whole family to join in!!

I hope you enjoyed your PE lesson boys and girls! I certainly did!

Lesson 2. ICT Children please take a photograph of yourself and email it to me at jmccreesh887@c2kni.net or upload it to your Seesaw account. Please try to do this by evening time (Monday).   Also, can let me know how the dance lesson went. Have a go at writing a note or try an audio file in the Seesaw app or by email for those corresponding that way.   Lesson 3. Art We have been learning about 2d and 3d shapes in Numeracy. Have a go at Junk Modelling to make a Christmas decoration. Record the date, your age and height, etc on the decoration to make a lovely keepsake. Below are some ideas.

Thank you boys and girls and keep an eye on the website/Seesaw app for tomorrow’s activity. Enjoy the rest of your day and remember 4 more sleeps to go ... so bed early everyone!!   Mrs J. McCreesh.
